Wow. It’s 3am and we’re still high on hip-hop after celebrating at Phife Dawgs “Mind. Body. Soul. - A Concert Event to Raise Awareness of Diabetes.” Hip-hop was certainly in the building, in its purest form.
After shooting a future exclusive for KeapHope in Manhattan with a rapper to be named later, we made our way out to BK’s Knitting Factory with our friend Derek Pike to check out a star studded event from the foundation of hip-hop to its possible next savior. We’ll have video up tomorrow but for now enjoy this fantastic set from our photographer Dan Dealy with photos from the evening including shots of Phife, Q-tip, Consequence, Jay Electronica, KRS-One, Michael Rapaport, Talib Kweli and more.
